Mrwurm,

I don't think a zero turn would work for me...the back 2 acres are hillside and I think they will be a mix of some grassy areas and brush that is cut down now and then with a brush hog...

The B2910 is paid for...so whatever I do will be the only money I need to spend...the other is already gone... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Not a bad idea... BUT.....
You can only drive one at a time. Even with that said, I would go with the BX. Or a nice ZTR. Definite that it has lawn duty as first priority.

I have a 20hp Garden Tractor with a 52" cut. All it does is the lawn. The B7800 drives much nicer and is more comfy, but it is too big and heavy.

-Good luck on the Lawn tractor search.

This approach also eliminates issues regarding having the MMM in place when you want to use the loader, box blade, etc. Plus--if you fill up the shed too fast you won't have room for more stuff.

rmorgan,

Since we have short weeds that look like grass I don't think I need the cut a ZTR would provide, and also I like the idea of a small tractor, since the 2 acres behind the pond are hilly rather than flat.

I did figure if I got another small tractor, then the garden tractor would be history. The second tractor, if it were a bx, would be the mower and the larger tractor would be the worker...

Thanks for your advice!

Spencer,

How dare you even suggest that I abandon my true friend and best helper! Shame on you! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

No, I would not ever consider replacing the b2910 with something smaller. I really would rather have a larger backhoe with a longer reach, to be honest.

BUT...having a little brother to give the mowing chores to would be nice...and probably make both of us happy... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Unless things have changed drastically, the 0% financing deal
was on new Kubota equipment and accessories sold in conjunction
with such.

uhmgawa,

If this happened, I was thinking of a new BX2200 and MMM. So the zero percent would work I think.

Side question...did Kubota at one time use those Kanji? Seems like today they just use katakana for thier name and no kanji...

Rick,

I'm glad you don't live closer...we could be a dangerous pair /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I considered your suggestion...but decided that I would keep my wife rather than shoot for a second B2910.

She might agree to the bx...if I fake problems with the garden tractor and cry a lot...come in with a claim that I have been laying in the dirt trying to fix that old @#&!! piece of s#$%...subject for another post. Words to use to get the point across... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

A mmm for the B2910 might be the cost effective solution...no the cost effictive solution is the RFM I already have! Just so nice having a tractor ready to go for grass cutting, and one that would do a superior job [ok, trescrows, I bought in]. Not that superior matters at this point, with our short weeds...but who knows, perhaps I would like to make the part of the yard we use [as opposed to the part the geese use] nicer over time.

Rick, actually, you must not be up to your normal self. I would have expected you to suggest a MMM for the B2910 and at minimum a L3830 as my working tractor. Remember, we have four acres to deal with here! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

ns_in_tex,

Appreciate the idea, but I think it may be too technical for my wife to understand... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Boy am I glad she doesn't frequent TBN.

Frank,

When the girls were in highschool there were rules, set in jest, but they believed them to some extent. Like, no talking to boys until you are 18, first date at 21...forget exactly now.

But now that the older one is married and soon to be 30...things changed. Now its not pregnant yet? What's wrong with you guys...we had both you and your sister long before I was thirty!

Lucky you!
