I had ENOUGH of higher diesel prices!!

I purchased a 1980 Skylark with 4 cylinder engine and straight stick, because of the high prices at that time. Got over 40 mpg. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Crude would have to get over $80.00/barrel today to be higher then that period (in 2005 US Dollars). Yes gas prices are high, but relatively speaking, not as high as they were in the early 80,s.

I've keep a spreadsheet on my vehicles since '92, so just a few random dates and prices when I filled up:

12/31/1992 - $0.999
01/23/1999 - $0.899
04/10/2000 - $1.499
05/06/2001 - $1.699
02/04/2002 - $1.009

I justed filled my truck up a few minutes ago. Reg. unleaded was 2.569 and diesel was 2.599. That is just plain stupid. Fuel maybe lower compared to a few years ago percantage wise but wages are lower, insurance and everything else is higher.

Only three and a half years ago when we were complaining about $1 gas. 

Yesterday, I paid $3.10 per gallon for Diesel. Regular gas was $2.87 and going up every day.

(my other car is a Prius!).

as of 5:35 am this morning. 2.44 gas (87) & sya 2.51 on some staions. Diesel is $2.71 (say 2.76 this weekend)...

I filled up with diesel Saturday and was surprised to find that diesel was the same price as regular, $2.49, where it had been as high as premium. That is not because diesel dropped, but because gas has risen much more than diesel. Gas was $2.49/$2.59/$2.69.
On weekends, I usually fill up at one of two stations, both Exxon, out in the country going to my land. Both of those stations are typically $.08 to $.15 cheaper than those in town. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I looked at the web site you provided on the wood furnaces. I like the fact that they are detached do not require a chimney to be added to the house. How much do one of these things cost?

Yeah, I filled up my new gas pickup yesterday, Sunday, and the regular gas was $2.499 and at the diesel pump, diesel was $2.499 too. I bypassed another station where regular gas was $2.579 and diesel was marked at $2.509. Still at other stations I passed, diesel and regular gas were both higher than the figures I've indicated, but the diesel was not yet higher than the regular gas, as it had been.

Diesel is running .15-.20 cents higher a gallon than regular gas in central Ma. from what I have seen in the past few days. The cheapest diesel I say was $2.669.
