Have any of you guys ever bought a parts catalogue for your car? Probably not and you probably wouldn't, even if they were available.
So I doubt this has got much to do with Kubota losing sales of 'Parts Catalogs'. The parts diagrams are available on ebay for about $10 which probably indicates their market value. My guess is that relatively few people will actually pay good money for a catalog and Kubota knows this. (Anyway, Kubota dealers have been giving away parts catalogs for years).
I'd suggest this is more about Messicks overstepping their franchise zone and becoming the defacto on-line parts supplier for the entire US. By publishing prices they really cut out the need for anyone to contact their local dealer. I can see why local dealers would be peed off. Especially the smaller ones who don't have Messicks resources. (I'm not knocking Messicks. Just looking at it from another angle).
