I like my summertime clothes dryer the best.... Only trouble with is that it stops working when it rains for some reason

These driers will also work indoors if you have the room.

No digital washer/dryer units for me. Same with fridge. They are mechanical in nature... someone will have to explain how they can better get their clothes cleaner and dry with LED/LCD displays. :confused3:

Most of it is about electricity and water savings, not necessarily a better result. I think they're supposed to be more gentle on your clothes too so they last longer.

our Whirlpool gas (propane) dryer is not drying... did some trouble shooting on Saturday and now have replacements pair of coils in the mail to me. Dryer is in pieces at the moment. Should have parts tomorrow. Amazon actually says it's delivered. Hope this is the $10 fix!

I still hate my dryer too but after throwing in two replacement coils, the ignitor seems to glow faster and ignite the gas. :wrench: I put the whole thing back together and the better half is now catching up with laundry so I should have a status report by end of the evening.

Chalk me up to liking the electronics on washers, specifically coupled the direct drive motors with 10 year LG warranties. Maybe just my dumb luck with mechanical ones in the past. Kenmore and Whirlpool before that.

Dryers haven't been much of a problem ever, no matter the brand, we have Maytag at the moment. I don't particularly like the Whirlpool lint catcher at the top if they still have that.
