Many of you know how hard it is to make a decision on which tractor when first time tractor buyer/owner. At the time of purchase dealer said just take paper work with you and will get pw signed and check $$$ when I deliver Tractor with FEL on Monday today. We are waiting on the MMM which was at the time apprx 6 weeks out and he wanted me to have the tractor in the mean time. This AM he calls and says MMM should be shipped this Fri and he can have tractor with FEL & MMM to me the following Friday so in 2 weeks. I agreed to just wait 2 weeks for delivery.

Here is the "I hate To Even Think, BUT" part: The contract has not been signed would I be wrong IF IF(not saying would) I changed my mind and bought a different tractor? Would I be a sorry piece of cr....?

We have a very successful business man that as his pitch it is "buy it today have it delivered tonight" JUST to keep from falling into the buyers remorse or second thoughts.

The reason I ask is NOT that I have found a tractor I like better, but I am still looking and reading and IF I did reconsider my purchase?

Please don't make me feel to bad or not worthy to be a member here on TBN!

Well we each have to do what we think is "right", so I won't tell you what you should do.

I personally wouldn't unless something changed in the deal, like the MMM was different, or wasn't drive over autoconnect, etc.

Unless I was going through same dealer and asked him about going UP in tractor size... or some other "upgrade" that I hadn't thought I needed before.

First time buyers are going to have second thoughts. You are going to second guess yourself 9 times out of 10 no matter what.

Even if you change your mind, call off the original deal and get a different tractor you will probably second guess your decision to get the different tractor.

old friend told me one time, after you buy or commit to buying, stop shopping and go with what you decided.

I doubt that you could be legally held to the deal based on what you said.

Yea, but it was agreed on kinda like a handshake. I was just curious what others think. I doubt I would back out as I did do much research before making my decision and agree about best to stop looking/shopping.

As long as you've not actually used the equipment, why not. But if you have in fact used it, it's no longer the new equipment you purchased but is now used equipment. That's just might thoughts and certainly not legal advice.

If you have second thoughts and want a different tractor from the same dealer. He should be OK with that. I'm sure you would not be the first to have second thoughts...

If you want a different tractor from a different dealer. That, in my mind, is a little tougher deal. You shook hands - he has made a deal based upon your decision. If this is the case - I would approach the dealer and see what he has to say. He won't be happy but maybe you can make a good case.

Don't know what you're after. o_O

On one hand, you say you're a weak person (fell for the sales pitch) and then say your word means nothing to you. I don't get it. YOU have to decide if you want the tractor and where you'll get it serviced/repaired. No one here can bail you out. 😏
