Will ask neighbor if they used a gage to check it. Otherwise they used soapy water

The local propane company checked my system when they put in the tank. I had already performed the air pressure check mentioned above for a week and it passed my check. I knew he wasn't going to find anything with his manometer.

But that's (one of) the root of the OPs problem! The dumm shirt from the propane company had a "gauge" that gave FALSE readings.
