I say remove all emotion and approach it from a pure $$ angle. Which item is worth more? Which item will survive the outdoors better? Which item will lose the most value after x number of years after being outside vs inside?

Me? My tractor takes up a garage stall and a car (new or otherwise) stays outside. (At least it did until I built an outbuilding.)

I am lucky that I have enough space to put everything inside, but if I did not the "small stuff"- tractor,ZTR, ATV, and UTV would be inside. Weather seems to affect those items more then a car or truck.

My oldest son has a VW GTI and he thinks that turbo charged car is so bad assed. I lined my '66 mustang 5.0 HO EFI car up next to him and took him by a half car length in 100yards. Definitely shut him up.

Getting new exhaust last year.

Well just to follow up, I did end up putting the BX outside but I did have it covered when not in use. Seems to have survived nicely. I'm thinking a big wood shed to store it and pool supplies in. I use it year around so in the winter it would still have to be moved to the end of drive.

You might want to reconsider. Pool chemicals (chlorine) eat up metal pretty fast.
