The saw arrived today. USPS seems to like to send packages on regional tours....;-)
Got a couple of extra chains along with.
I checked the air filter fitting /sealing, and greased the interface. Seems like a "why not" idea. Mounted the OEM chain and bar. Was impressed by the three way allen wrench tool and the storeage bag.
Turned the bar oiler screw full down. (Only about 1/4 turn range of adjustment)
Put in bar oil, put in mix gas (I always spill ;-) Pressed the fuel bulb till it filled.
Flipped the choke and pulled the cord. It popped right off. Ran it up till it was warm, and then adjust the idle down a tad. Watched the chain oil fling off and make rainbows in the rain water that coverd the concrete pad at the shop entrance.
Sure is light! I think it's going to be a better choice than the 10 inch Makita battery saw. But BOY! is it loud!
I teased the post office guy. "Guess what's in the box?", "It's a hundred dollar chainsaw."
he replied, "Let me know how THAT works out", "I'll stop in to check".
I think that about says it all! it's just for fun!
