Fresh out of the magic oil. I'm looking for another source.

As far as the hoses, yes they are a mess but I can't turn the fittings unless I back them out. I was able to turn one fitting on the swing cylinder to the center and made that side a bit better. The others are bottomed out. I AM addressing that, one solution is new fittings and another is to have the hoses remade to the correct length. They are all the same and are what Land Pride provides.

Hmm funny you should bring up something about "neat" ing up the hoses. After all, It is just a rear blade. Now, where did I leave my MeGuire's polish and wax.

Is there a sort of "standard" way to hook up the remotes? For example pushing the remote lever forward for the blade tilt makes the right side of the blade go up, or down? Or lever for angle makes right end of blade angle forward when lever is forward?

"MY" standard hookup makes the direction of the blade go the direction I push (or pull ) the lever. I look over my right shoulder, pushing the angle lever forward make the right side of the blade move forward. Pushing the offset lever forward makes the offset angle to the right. Pushing the tilt lever forward (or down as the case may be) makes the right side of the blade go down. This seems intuitive to me. I think of it like a rope is attached to the blade and then to the levers.
My first hookup, out of three cylinders, I got ALL of them backwards. It was crazy to operate.

I am close to pulling the trigger on an rbt3584.

Since I only have 3 rear remotes and not handy enough to add more myself (use 2 for top n tilt) I am leaning towards starting with the hydraulic angle and manual offset and tilt. Figured I could add aftermarket hydraulics later if I wanted.

We haven't settled on a price, but the breakdown the dealer gave me had even the manual offset costing $158 while the manual tilt 65 while the hydraulic angle added $312.

So for example with the manual offset you are already paying for half the hydraulic version.....

To be honest I have never even used a rear blade before, but I need one very soon and it seemed like the rbt3584 looked like a good middle of the rear blade.

I lust after a rear gauge wheel, but the truth is the blade will only get alot of use in the next year or two and I probably can't justify the cost of the rear wheel (which to be really handy would need to be hydraulic, too).

I wrote on your other thread before I saw this one. I want the rear wheel too but I'm getting better at using it without it. Just take concentration and jacking the levers a lot but just so you know, I am truly glad I have this blade even though it gets very little use. When I do use it, it makes life so much nicer. I spent time with the old manual piece of crap that even though it looked terrible, it was a pretty solid piece of equipment. It was just too much of a hassle to get off and make and adjustment. I've never regretted the purchase of this blade.
Well, maybe I was a bit aggravated because it wasn't orange but you know how that it.

Allen, did you ever clean up the routing of your hoses? I am pretty sure that the fittings on the cylinders are o-ring boss. If there are, you should be able to point the fitting any where you want and just tighten up the jamb nut. It's no problem to not have them bottomed out.

Nope, Hoses are just like they were. I hook up to it, gripe about the hose mess, use it, unhook from it and forget about it. Maybe I will neat up my hoses someday.

If you haven't snagged them in the past 2 years, probably not going to. Sometimes it is easier to just leave good enough alone. :thumbsup:

I'm still interesting in a quote from Brian on the hydraulic offset and angle cylinders, but the latest quote for the dealer on the rbt3584 is higher than the quote from yesterday even....

And even though they might get it on their regular shipment from LP, they say there will be additional freight charges. So that cools me off a little on both counts. Plus like around 10 percent tax makes a bigger number than I was thinking.

Wish I could find one used with reasonable shipping
