Using a pressure washer can get you real dirty pretty quick. ... But it works great!

Cut a hole in a piece of plywood to stick the pressure washer wand through, and use that as a "shield" from the blow back.

I think imho if you use a pressue washer or any type of water you are going to be asking for a settling and cracked sidewalk before long. I think I would take up the offer for the wax job for the drilling. zman

Attache it to a piece of 10' PVC and keep working the hole till you get the size you want. The high pressure this nozzle makes will blow through even the hardest dirt.

My downspouts are 3inch and they go into 4inch flex pipe.

I have the "4-inch flex pipe" under my walks, and 4-inches isn't going to make the walk settle or crack...Especially with "rebar" in it.

When using a pressure washer just try and keep the tunnel straight, and keep it as narrow as possible...Also try not to go to deep... If you do you can put sand underneath the pipe.
