And I did. Finally got them done today. Weather was a nice 45F. Rain and snow tonight. I started on them last week but snow and coldness drove me inside. I used 4"x2" x 3/16" rectangle tubing. I used the same "locking" system as for the tow hooks I installed earlier. I can slide the forks anywhere along the rail. The reinforced sides are 3/8" gussets. I also wanted them to remain locked on the bottom, so I made some 1/2" jack bolts. The color is not right ( have to get some K-Orange ) but it works to keep them from rusting for now.
