Other than the net tail issue I had with my BV series sileage special, I've had NO issues with it whatsoever. The issue with the net tail protrusion wasn't user fixable however and required the intervention of the Kubota regional rep to fix.
Far as I'm concerned, issues are all in the realm of how a machine (any machine) is maintained, especially bearings an why when I bought mine, I ordered it with pressure lubrication for the primary chains and bearings. I had more issues with the NH 575 series round bailer than the BV has had so far.
Again, you never read about anything other than issues. Never seen anyone post a comment on any forum that wasn't of a disparaging nature.
Personaly I like as well as dislike the BV series bailer. It has some nice features and some not nice features as well. My main dislike comment is, because it's 100% solid state controlled, fixing and or adjusting issues become complex and I don't care for complex at all. At 76, I'm not a computer person and never will be. Heck, I don't even own or want to own a smart phone and this Lenovo laptop I post on, my cousin handles it's upleep and upgrades as I haven't a clue how to do that stuff and candidly don't want to.

I'm in your arena as well. I don't bale sileage either. I purchased the 'Sileage Special' on the recomendation of my dealer, not because it cost more but because he also bales dry hay and has one as well and when I bought it he insisted I buy the Sileage Special model for the extra stripper bars and extra rolls that they come with. Like I stated previously, I've had ZERO issues with it other than the net tail stickout issue that was corrected by Kubota. I did, of course and I stated that I bought it with the pressurized central oiling system and one point greasing system but I did tha just to speed up my maintenance time.
I especially like the overlapping twine arms and the criss cross pattern they apply to a bale, not that I use it much because I don't. I prefer over the edge netting as does my customer. That and the ability to control the bale density on the fly and switching from net to twine mid bale if I get lax about checking how much net is left on the roll and I really like the driving screen on the display as well. Light years ahead of what came on the NH bailer I traded in.
