Exiled; Must be something in JD management training. When I bought my 4110 about a year and one half ago I asked to have it washed and I wanted the oil changed. ( It had been there a year with a couple demo hours ) I explained I paid their price and just wanted the machine clean ( just dust covered at this point ) and new break in oil. They said no problem... we will wash , wax, change oil, deliver, and service the first oil change and filter for free.
After being promised delivery in a couple days before the weekend it remained there til the following week when I called to speak with the service manager. He said he was very busy but would attempt to get it delivered this week. Several days later they called and said it was on the way.
It arrived in the afternoon and looked like it had been left on a trailer for a day or two as it was sprayed off, not washed, and had a quarter inch of ice all over the entire tractor surface. I asked the delivery person what happened to the wash and wax ? He said they got busy and he was told to spray it off and get it " up here ". One look at the oil plug showed me the paint was not disturbed so it didn't get serviced either. It bothered me for a day and finally I had to call the business owner to voice my displeasure. He listened to my rant and said give me your number and I will get back to you.
A few minutes later the service manager apologized several times and stated they would pick it up and do the work as promised. I told him no thanks, you had a chance. He said I didn't understand... the truck was on its way and the owner said it will be done right. Less than an hour later the delivery person was here. He apologized again and said he will personally see everything is checked over and made right. The tractor was delivered again ( now 3 weeks late ) and in much better condition with fresh oil. I told them I would not return for the free service as it is not worth the agrivation.
I bought the tractor without attachments ( didn't want to upset the check book ) and was told by the salesman he would give me a super deal on a 60" MMM they had in stock that was used as a demo. I called him a short time later to check on it ( he said it was in a rack behind some other attachments and he would get the serial number and price making sure it was complete) only to discover they never had a 60" used mower. He stated he must have been thinking about something else.
Needless to say I don't buy my oil, filters, or attachments there as I have lost confidence in their ability to be above the table. SO.... I have learned just because it is green it doesn't mean the dealer lives up to the products name.
