I think I am going to get bite!

Well had a window of 4 days to hay and tried to get it done baled a few bales and tested moisture with a farmex moisture tester. It looked good except had pockets in the bale where it was a bit wet. These pockets where reading around 20 to 26% moisture. So I broke the bales open and spread them out. And of course the weather has rain in the forcast.

Should I leave the hay in rows or spread out? It feels almost dry except for a few spots low in the rows?

What are you using for a rake? If it is a roll bar rake I would spread them out. If it is a rotary I would leave them. The rotary make a row that will allow better air flow, where a roll bar ropes the hay in a tighter row.

With 4 days, what is your mower, does it have a conditioner?

Did you get your tedder issue resolved?
