I would like to add a backhoe attachment. What are my options?

No - check the first link posted - it’s 5500$ for the one ton machine with gas engine and yes - the 2 ton machine with diesel is twice the price but a lot more machine for the money.

You need to get into the 2 ton China minis to get the digging depth /power area of my tractor mounted backhoe.
I paid $5200 for my backhoe with subframe and 18" bucket 20 years ago, can mount it in minutes when ever I need it.
I've always been pleased with my backhoe power/dig depth/reach/performance.
I have a 12", 18" and 36" bucket

Vince - agreed the "2 ton" China Minis may be 3000-3400 Lb bucket force, which is about the same as my Kubota B21 4000 Lb machine - but the 23 YO Kubota has a better hydraulic system and controls than my 2024 1.8 ton machine. Ya get what you pay for.

They both have a niche and value to have - my go to is the Kubota TLB for most tasks but we have rocks - a lot of them and the Mini is the loader of the tractor bucket etc.

I bought a 3-point unit for my M6040 a few years back. Tried it once, then sold it to a neighbor...who promptly broke it.

Okay, that was operator error, but the whole thing was a pain in the butt.

I physically looked at and drove one of these 2ton chinese units with the kubota d902 engine. Theres alot of similar things with my 1990 year kubota kh41.

My mechanic had a mini, don't know brand or how heavy, but it had a 14' reach. They are very slow moving if you have any distance to go.

Sold it and bought a used year 2000 commercial 16k lbs Backhoe for 30k, Ford I think.

I have a Kubota BH92 that I like, I wish it had more power, but what's nice is that it's there when I need it. Currently just ordered a ripper tooth from Rhinox and a machine shop is making me ears for my quick coupler.

In Canada, price quote to add backhoe to 2038r is 16k. mini excavator is 9700.

Are they similar in function? Pros and cons?
