Ideas for Kubotas next BX lineup?

if they are saying next years models will be the pollution free models or will be electronically controlled there might be a replacement or big modifications to the current bx25 due to the fact that there is no room under the hood to add anything...anybody???

I must correct you, the Kubota "MAX" has been around for over one year.

Honestly with the experience i have had on a BX24, Kubota needs to do something different underneath the tractor. They need to make the hydrostatic fan easily removable from underneath the tractor, plus have an effective shield that will actually protect the fan for those who run their BX's in the woods or brush. I also would do something about the hydraulic filter, quite frankly it is very exposed to the terrain underfoot and a protruding rock or small stump hidden by brush could easily destroy the filter. And finally, I would do something different about the first fuel filter in the line, it is kinda a pain to replace and who wants to remove their mower deck to replace a fuel filter? That's my :2cents:

I may own two Deere's but that doesn't mean I have never driven a Kubota.

... eeeeh. a good sales person should not sell any Subcompact to someone who wants to crash though the woods with it. You simply don't have the ground clearance to do that safly. A skid plate would help, but there is still a whole host of things you can destory that would not be covered.

That's certainly true, but one rogue stick in the yard can cause more damage than should happen on something that costs this much...I shouldn't have to buy skid plates to protect what Kubota should have protected on their own.

Kubota (and the other SCUT manufacturers) sell the BX as a tractor. And if it is a tractor it should have underside protection. I dont like the exposed fuel filters, fan and hyd filter on mine. I have contemplated making a skidplate, but i dont know if it will even be possible to have a skidplate and the MMM installed. The gearbox on the MMM really gets up there when the deck is lifted. I use mine like the tractor it is..

If it's a glorified lawnmower, then yeah, leave its soft underbelly, but you better modify your advertising.

I bought mine because a larger tractor wouldnt "fit" my property and all my uses. Kubota should at least offer a factory skidplate kit that takes into account the clearances for the MMM.

Oh and do something about the location of the steering ram... could you think of a more dumb place to put it? I think one seal is already leaking on mine

Bro-Tek makes one but when the MMM is installed it acts as a skid plate.
