IDEAS ON COUPLING HYD PUMP TO 2.3 FORD

A 11 GPM pump, 3000 psi, requires about a 23 HP engine.

JJ, would 3000 psi be on the high side to be running on a vane pump? I always heard 1500 is the range you would want to be at for a vane pump or they will not last long.

Some of the Vickers vane pumps can pressure up to 4500 psi.

JJ One more question. That one apears to be a balanced pump, would the pump at 11 gal/mn be balanced? (hypothetical I know cause we do not know at this point)

The # is V201P11P1C11 11GPM@1200RPM CW Rotation SAE A Flange 2500rpm max 2500psi max. On the electric it was direct drive with lovejoy couplers. thanks guys
