Waxman, Do you use purple power on you tires ?

OK you caught me, I do the tires too, but only for pictures.
Mothers Protectant .
I use it on the Kubota for all the door gaskets, trim, mirror backs, dash, pedals, floor mat,
and only the rear tires but rarely. Front tires I don't bother not enough area.

Unfortunately lately the Kubota has taken a back seat to my new waxer 2001 M Roadster with 8,000 miles. I prefer waxing the Kubota, less work.

I am planning on using the Dupli-Color Bed Liner from the rattle cans on the undersides of my rear fenders once I complete the cab and re-paint the tractor, I have used the Dupli-Color alot on projects and it really does a nice job, its about $10.00 a can.

Hey, did I hear someone say "waxing" a tractor?

Boy did I get it from everyone for saying I wax my Rims, Yes I used to be a closet waxer, it got so bad once people knew I had to change my name to show I was not ashamed of what I have done. Now I wax in daylight with my head held high No more waxing at night under a tarp with a flashlight.

Before everyone sprays that stuff on their tractors, once that stuff goes on it's not coming off, what will it look like once it's on for 389 hrs. Hopefully not orange spots all over.
Mine still looks like this after 389 hrs of dirt and gravel work, with only 3 waxing under the fenders, takes about 3.5 minutes.
Don't forget WAX those rims too!!!
I have to admit what you have done does look good.

Hi My Name is Dave and im a "Waxer" :D

I too figure that im gonna do what ever i can to keep my investment looking and running as good as it can.

Yes i have the time (it doenst take much), and no, I dont depend on my Tractor for my income, its a hobby /wekend use machine.

I didnt use the bedliner spray on the wheel wells (but it looks good)....instead i use the same stuff i use on my Cars/Truck "Rust Check" or "Corrosion Free". Its one of the products thats like an oil spray (cant chip) , but it displaces moiture as opposed to trapping it like oil does.

Have not yet shined my Tires, but am not opposed to doing so

I cant believe someone would wax their tractor.

Or, buy new tires and paint the rims, touch up the rest of the tractor, buy new hoses and belts, and do a good general cleaning. That would be a waste of time to sand the rust off the front weights and paint them.

Heck, I bet some people even sand and repaint the rear blade after moving gravel so during the winter the snow slides off easier.

What are they thinking? lol If something is 23 years old it should look like it, right?

I recently added a Westendorf TA-55 FEL. I sure wouldn't waste time painting it. (I need to post some pics of it)

I don't wash my 'Bota... I don't wax my 'Bota.... <hangingheadinshame>

My tractor is a tool, and yes, I do proper maintenance to make certain that it continues to be of service to me.... I have so much fun using my tractor that I don't want to waste a minute of "fun time"... I have a lot of work to do and enjoy getting it done with the tractor. By close of business (COB) I'm too tired to wash and wax my tractor. BTW, I don't wax my wrenches either... a complete failure fer sure! <grin>

I was working on my Bush Hog yesterday and a thunder storm came up. After it went by I was waithing on things to dry up a bit and saw the wax still out from doing the Jeep. I said what the heck and polished the tractor with Zaino Z2 show car polish. In all it only took 15 minutes and still had to wait for things to dry up. Sick, yes, but what the heck. LOL

Not sick at all, I can't understand why we should be embarrassed or make excuses for waxing.
I do understand someone who uses their tractor for their work not wanting to spend time washing or waxing it just to get it dirty again tomorrow, it's a income tool for them and will look well used in ten years no matter what, why bother.
But the rest of us that use it for a weekend then let it sit for a couple of weeks should keep it nice so after ten years it will have low hours and still look new. After all I don't see myself buying another one. I haven't waxed mine since January but I will again once I put the snow blade back on. I like the winter, tractor always looks new and clean. No chance of getting mud and dirt on it. Goes outside spend an hour clearing snow bring it back in the garage just wet. Zaino Z2 show car polish, you don't fool around.
