I used to work with someone that was a detailing maniac. He armor alled his bowling ball once. It was terrible, it wouldn't bite when you threw it down the lanes, he had to clean it all off. It was a great looking bowling ball though.

In addition to the gravel roads, this is a picture of some of the "dirt" I sometimes get in to.

The bedliner spray goes down the fender and seals up the seam where two pieces of metal come together. This should help the moisture-holding dirt from laying in there causing rust down the road.

You're welcome! I "discovered" it last year and bought two aerosol cans of it for the mower deck. It is supposed to be VERY slick and is used for grain chutes and other ag applications. I have to think that it will be fantastic for the bottom of the mower deck. I'll bet it would be good for the inside of buckets, etc. Anything that makes the bottom of the mower deck easier to clean and stay cleaner is going to be great!

Might keep the clay from sticking to the bucket in summer and help the snow slide out next winter. Great idea for the mower deck, under the fenders of the tractor and the truck,..rockers, door bottoms and wow, lots of ideas forming up so thanks again for sharing these great tips!!

Oh, and yes, I also try to keep my tractor (JD-3520-Cab) clean, shiny and as free of oil leaks and grease smears etc. I'm proud that it still looks great inside and out with 840 hours (2-1/2 years) of hard work behind us!!! After all, this represents one of my largest investments,...of course I'm proud to polish it!!! Park it beside my GMC truck out on the lawn down by my lake, and go at 'em both with polish eh!!

Very dark gray to black.
I put something similar on my mower deck a few months ago.

Auto parts also sell 'gravel guard', a rubbery material that sprays on and is available in rattle cans as well as pressure gun applicable.

Rattle cans available in black only but colors available in pressure gun application.

Just did my rocker pannels on my Jimmy last night and am considering doing my tractor as well.

Rattle cans are in the $10. range, and did the Jimmy with only one can, might require 2 for the tractor fender undersides.

The theory is that pebbles etc bounce off rather than chip the finish. Standard on many car rocker pannels nowdays.

I suspect that this is similar to spray-on bed liner.
