One big difference is the toolcat will not move or dig dirt like the 247 can. Good luck
But it will still move dirt. This is a toothed 1 cubic yard Versahandler bucket.

I'm considering purchasing a toolcat for my 50 acre farm. I'll use it for mowing, post hole digging, loader work, utility work, etc. Two questions:

1). Can anyone confirm if a CAT 247B attachments will fit on the Tool Cat? I have a grapple rake, post hole digger, bucket, and fork.
2). How does a price of 55k sound with the 72" mower?

I plan to sell my multi terrain CAT, a kubota 331 zero turn and Yamaha rhino and consolidate into one machine. We'd prefer a machine with a cab and AC; that's the impetus for making the change.

Any advice/thoughts would be most appreciated.

You didn't say 5610 or 5600. new series G or leftover series F.

If a 5600 G, be sure it has traction control (HTC).

Xfaxman absolutely correct. I'm probably just more skilled with the CTL 247 digging than I am with my toolcat.

I'm considering a 5600 new series. I don't need the rear PTO and the dump box would be useful.

Yep, 55K sounds good.

But check for any special discounts at the time you buy it.

What I forgot to mention is that the mowing we do is path cutting around our field perimeter more so than tight turning radius cutting. A lawn service cuts around our home. I believe the 72" front mount mower should do the job. Thanks for your feedback.

I've got a Bobcat 62" Lo-Profile bucket for the Toolcat and I haven't been impressed with it's digging capability. There are provisions to add a bolt-on tooth-bar to this bucket and am thinking that this will help digging. Does anyone have any recommendations on a tooth-bar that's not priced like it's made of "Unobtanium"?

Thanks, DEWFPO

Mine are individual bolt on teeth, two bolts each. The dealer threw them in as a discount when I bought the Versahandler bucket.

There are several styles for sale on eBay.

The teeth sure make it dig better.

Thanks Xfaxman, this looks like a good cost effective solution for me.

Have a model A and for the last week it been acting funny. Engine runs goodand all the rest but when in drive, it will slow down and same for engine rpm 2 or 3 seconds. Today it stalled the engine when snow plowing but wasn't moving realy fast. Looks to me the drive pumps are failing. Could it be something else. Any experience with that kind of snags. Thanks.
