It doesn't have an hour-meter or any other gauge. It has two pieces of "instrumentation" -- a low oil pressure warning light, and a little hole that you look in to watch a wire filament heat up that shows the status of the glow plugs warming up --- you wait till the wire glows, then give it about 10 more seconds, open the throttle and crank it...
