Now if your tractor is like my old B6000, its a PITA to do anything to the brakes. You need to take the wheels and fenders off and there should be some bolts to take the whole brake assembly off.
i didnt delve in that far, so im going from memory of what it looked like.
i would try tightening up the brake rods first see if thatll do.

At 540 lbs, and 18-65 HP recommended, that one seems to be too much for this little beast. I still haven't been into the dealer to price a LandPride 42" -- I clumsily broke my ankle and am still hobbling around on crutches.

I had a B6000 - no loader, my first compact. Great tractor, but keep in mind the 3pt only lifts 350lbs or so...a heavier box blade will not lift...and trust me, with 350 on the back you will need balast, or it will be a 2 wheel tractor steerable by breaks only /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Well, actually I'm looking to use the box blade to counterbalance the loader, but that's six of one and half dozen of the other.

The specs on the rear 3-point show it'll lift far more than 350 pounds -- something like 800 lbs -- though I haven't tried it.

I have found that King Kutter also makes a 42" Cat 1 box blade that weighs a little over 300 lbs, though my local tractor shop doesn't stock them. (They also make a light weight 42" Cat 0 one.) I'm going to get price quotes on both the Land Pride and the King Kutter 42" ones....
