Would hooking a hose to your tractor or lawn mower exhaust kill them?

Probably not as; rodents leave blocking dirt plugs close to the exit holes. If exhaust has enough pressure to infiltrate the maze of tunnels it will probably kill your engine from back pressure.

Before sealing it up give it a good shot of starting fluid. Sort of a catalyst deal. And for sure, post up a video before the sheriff gets there.

One time use but model rocket igniters at a hobby store. Back in my band days I used a thin wire between two nails for homemade flashpots. Hey, no internet back then to dumb it down for the masses.
