I use a electric shears because it won't leave a burr like the other methods. The above post must have been a typo because a diamond blade won't cut metal. If you go the circular saw route, just buy a 7-1/4" thin kerf abrasive blade. It'll zip right through the metal.

For those recommending the abrasive blades, be advised that the roofing/siding suppliers specifically say not to use abrasive blades and that it will void the warranty. They may work just fine, but I went with the metal cutting blade because after spending several thousand $ on metal, I figured I should follow the recommendations.

No typo, do it all the time. Not the smooth continuous rim blades, the one with ridges(?) like this Shop Skil 7-in Wet or Dry Turbo Diamond Circular Saw Blade at Lowes.com Less cost as a carbide, but slightly quieter, and a lot less metal shards flying at you. I don't use the skil brand, or any of the ones lowe's has, I usually get mine at the local ace. Cost more, but I think they're better quality. I've stacked up to 5 thick and cut em to length.
