Further information on adjusting that top link length:
On most rotary cutters you want the rear end to be slightly higher than the front. If you screw in the top link to make is shorter it will raise the rear.
Most finish mowers you want to be square especially side discharge units.
Box blades and rear blades, you will adjust the "angle of attack" by adjusting the top link.. Make small adjustments. You sometimes just have to experiment to find the correct angle for what you want to do.. Dont forget on angle blades when you adjust attack angle when the blade is angled to the side, you may need to touch up the vertical right side crank adjuster also to make each side of the blade to contact the ground at the same time. Here is where your rear 3pt control really comes in handy to raise and lower repeatedly to check.
Obviously you do these check on as perfectly level ground as you can find. I have a level spot in my driveway where I set up implements. Good luck!
