Re: I\'m Gonna Drill My Rops...

Are you gonna drill both Kubs' ROPS? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Of course, you could just drill one. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Roll it and see if it weekens the ROPS. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
If it is OK, then you can drill both tractors! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just for the record, I never said I was going to, I just said I would if I felt like it! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

And I will too...if I have a reason... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hope Spencer forgets that drill when he shows up next time! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Re: I\'m Gonna Drill My Rops...

Bill:

I'll bring the drill and some solid micrograin carbide drills. That way, if you don't want to drill your ROPS, we can drill holes in your car windows or you home windows if you prefer.

Do you prefer a cordless drill or a corded one??

Henro..... I have come to the conclusion that you are the only person that can obsess over a thought and never come to a final conclusion as to what to do. For this reason, I am writing this in white so you will have something more to think about...... whether or not your eye sight or your mind is failing. Personally, I think that it is your mind, that is starting to deteriorate as a result of lack of sun. I suggest that you spend some time in a tanning boot to correct the cabin fever that you are presently suffering from and forget about drilling anything. Once you have a good tan, and the cabin fever is cured, you will go on to see more worthwhile things in your life than hypothetical questions that don't have answers. Have a good weekend..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: I\'m Gonna Drill My Rops...

( I have NEVER gone over 45k on a set of tires...just my personal sensitivity )

This is the first time that I've heard of a personal standard for tire replacement based upon mileage. I won't comment on whether I think such a standard is good or bad (as this is something new to me and I haven't had much time to think about it), but my initial thought it that I would think that there would be different "standards" for different tire types and/or manufacturers.

For what it's worth, I have a set of Michelin LT 235-75-R15s with over 65,000 miles that have more tread than the previous set of Goodyear Wrangler radials (same size tires; same truck) that were wore out at 25,000 miles. The extra price for the Michelin's have proven to be cost effective for me.

Re: I\'m Gonna Drill My Rops...

There is no way a few small holes in your Rops is going to effect it in any way. Those things are so heavy duty. Just don't drill a weld. That's all.
