Oh, I knew what they say it stands for, I just wondered what it really stands for. Such as, when combined with the pucker factor, it might be Rinse Out Pants Soon.
I think the Roll Over Protection Shouldermount has a lot going for it. No holes drilled in the factory mounted ROPS and the lights follow you, wherever you go! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I am not sure if you did Bird a justice or an injustice. What we need here is some input from Mr. Senter??
We could be walking a fine line. After all, Mr. Senter is a moderator with the divine power to eliminate posts and flagellate posters whom overstep their bounds. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
At first I thought that picture was you...but then I saw the SMP (Slow Moving Person) symbol on the part of the body that you do not show in the picture to the left of your posts...
That tied with your comment elsewhere that you get to the dinner table early proves to me that This must be an imposter! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: I\'m Gonna Drill My Rops...
( You are making it sound like there is no difference between a 2” hole saw and a ¼ inch drill! Now that thought would be ludicrous! I have realized that there is, and I guess that was the point of my original post )
Don't worry.. I wasn't trying to be obtuse.. but the rops certification badge says no drilling, welding or modifying.. it doesn't state no 'major' or 'minor' modifications.. etc.
I know that 99% of that is a legal / liability isse...But in the unlikely event someone was even injuried on that tractor... the lawyers will dig into every corner to get you. Heck.. if someone was STEALING that tractor.. and it flipped killing them.. the lawyers would probably smoke over the rops.. find that 1/4" non oem hole.. then own your house... Sad as it is.. I've seen little technical stuff like that happen..
Off the record... I doubt too that a well placed hole causes significant reduction of strength.. however I'm not the guy certiftying where that well placed hole can be either...
