I think it is cool but again $29,900 for a bare tractor:eek:
I know that list but still..
I think these will be sold more to the high end collector..

Rick, I have not priced tractors in this size for a while but what would a Kioti this size cost roughly (msrp). I know it won't be apples to apples as this tractor has a CVT tranny but I am curious.

Also if Neil or any of the other New Holland dealers can compare the price of this tractor to the non-cvt blue version I would be curious as to how much of a premium this one is. If I recall doesn't this 8n also have HID lights (which are not cheap)?

I do like the fact New Holland is setting this model up to be customized by the buyers some.

Dang! That canopy with a windshield is a winner for all of us in southern markets where snowplowing is a non-event. That's what I have on our Kawasaki Mule and it is perfect. The transmission control panel is a little intimdating though. Holy smoke! I was lookin' for a switch labelled, "Back Scratch.";):D

Wow...I rather like that classic style as well. Looks like NH is jumping on the retro look bandwagon, it helped keep Chrysler alive for a few years (RIP PT). I hope that's not an indication on NH's financial status.

Maybe John Deere will be bringing back the 2 cylinders. :)

A paint job, some retro sheet metal, raise the price 10k, and sell it in a weak economy. Great idea!

But it really doesn't look like an 8n IMO.

It also has a CVT tranny and HID head lights. Also, when NH came up with this idea they couldn't forcast the economy going down like it did.

That seems like a good price. We got our Kubota M4900 back in '05 for over $30k. And it doesn't have a CVT, or "special headlights." However, ours is on a bigger frame and has a loader. But that design is classic. All in all, a pretty good deal.

Yikes!! That brings back some scary memories...My 8N was by far the most dangerous piece of equipment I ever owned..It had a full frame mounted FEL with no power sterring and brakes that were marginal at best..It didnt like to stay in gear either...Top heavy with no ROPS, if that would have rolled, I would have been stuck between the FEL frame and the machine.

Holy Sheep Dip is that expensive.

I like my Kubota...think I'll stay where I am...

Interesting retro though....
