Take 'em a bucket of fried chicken and ask them if they know where food comes from??? When they hire a lawyer take him a bucket and ask him the same question!!!! the big chicken companies are closing down by the day cause of the high corn price---your neighbors will be the first to ask you for something to eat when the "Store" does not have any---Do not let the threat of a lawyer scare you---OH! By The Way-- In Louisiana a chicken is not an animal it is fowl--that is how they got around chicken fighting for so long---But what can i say some neighbors hoods in Florida are getting worse than neighbor hoods in Ca---Sure hope they like riding bikes to the beach--cause we are going to keep our gas and our refinery's---Someone has got to wise up---Hope it starts in your neighborhood!!!

Well.. it was enough with the threat of a lawsuit to change my thinking. i deffinately don't have the time to go to court and defend myself.. nor do i feel like shelling out the extra bucks to do so.. Thus.. way ahead of my schedule.. i'm relocating some of my animals to my farm property down the road. it was going to be a retirement farmstead for me and the wife to move to down the road.. and I was slowly getting it fenced and setup on my own schedule.. this 'revelation' a couple months ago from neighbors i've had for 8ys now has greatly accelerated the issue.. :(

Just kidding. We took our oldest daughter to the zoo in Fort Wayne, In. when she was about two years old. They have tons of white peafowl running free around the zoo. Well, this big old male pops open his tail and is shaking it and strutting around. My daughter ran up to it and looked it directly in the eyes. There they stood, nose to nose, its tail fully opened. They stood that way for about half a minute. Then that thing opens its beak and out come this AHHHHaaaa, AHHHAAAAA AHHHAAAA!!!! She pulls up both her fists to her face, her feet start moving and she is outa there screaming!!!! The look of terror on her little face is still etched into my mind. :D

Those things are about the loudest bird I have ever heard.

Yes, and I'm sure a lot of people know little, if anything, about peacocks. Did you know they make a lot of noise at night! When I was a patrol lieutenant in the northeast quadrant of Dallas, just north of White Rock Lake, there was a stable just a couple of blocks south of the station (in a residential neighborhood) and they had some peacocks. And every time someone new moved into the area, we'd get calls at night about a woman screaming.

And one of our officers, who lived way out in the country, was once given a peacock that someone wanted to get rid of. He put it in the back seat of his car to take it home. Apparently it did not like going for a ride. He said it ran loops inside the car, front seat to back seat, across in front of him and around behind him, screaming, and leaving a stream behind; almost destroyed his car.:D He said there was no way he'd ever have anything to do with one again.:D

Now that's funny! I hear they are tasty birds to eat. Anyone know if their eggs make good eating?
