So, my point is, there is an expense, even if no survey is needed, the new legal description, ect; when we are talking buying a $3000 lot for $900; combining 4 of them; just the legal description and any fees associated with the new deed is going to eat up a lot of that potential profit. The bigger part is actually securing multiple adjacent lots at a tax sale.Around here, joining adjacent small lots is free and easy. Most towns encourage it. They get more tax money from a single 0.5A lot with a house than two unimproved 0.25 acre lots. I’ve done it with a couple of my properties
