Another thought on the good credit thing. Many times people with really good credit end up paying to much for a item. Their credit says they will be good for it. If you have so/so credit the lender will only go so much on a item because your credit may mean that they end up having to take it back. In a case like this the dealer and everyone works very close to cost to make the deal doable. The person with poor credit is protected by the lender from paying to much. Strange ,but true.

You guys are making a whole lot of assumptions. I can't possibly give every single detail that happened or I'd be typing a book, but I can assure you the dealer didn't screw up, Agri Credit did. I can only give as much detail as possible. This all happened within about two day's time frame. The only thing a dealer gets back is an email basically stating thank you for applying but that the customer is denied. I saw it. The finance company is not even supposed to tell the dealer why a customer is denied credit. But when there is an obvious error they should have contacted him and told him. Typically they will call him and tell him if they just need extra down payment or something. However, when I was denied and he told me, I'm the one that told him don't worry about it that I would wait and try again a little down the road. That evening I saw the used Kubota for sell online and I contacted the dealer and applied for credit with them the next day. I somewhat blame myself for getting in such a hurry. There are a lot of should haves could haves, but it's just the way the circumstances happened.

My dealer actually didn't call Agri Credit "about" me initially. He called because of me, because he had actually been having more denials lately than usual so when I got denied and then he found out I got approved thru Kubota he was like what's going on here, why did Agri Credit deny him then. He called to find out if they've started getting more strict or what. The supervisor said something about give him an example which is when he pulled my file out and told them about my denial. That's when the supervisor told him why and is when my dealer went off on them. The supervisor agreed that the lady should not have denied my application, but should have contacted the dealer to find out what was wrong with the application.

When it was denied, the dealer should have called them to make sure that they received all his paperwork correctly.

Agri Credit made their decision based on the paper work they received, it's not their job to hold the dealers hand to make sure he submits all of his paperwork.

Sorry to hear cletus... hope you can work with your Kioti dealer on a trade in. A good dealer should be a little more receptive since a good deed should net more business due to happy customer story being spread. You might have to work that angle a bit.

You guys don't listen. I'm the one that told the dealer not to worry about it and that I would try again later on. And like I said this all happened within two days. The supervisor with Agri Credit said that it was an obvious computer error and the loan clerk should have called the dealer instead of denying the loan.

Regardless of how the fault lies, they should take the Kubota in trade, and make him a great deal on the Kioti he wanted!

I think they are both partly to blame. I understand you told the dealer not to worry about it (cause of your boat thing) but if the dealer really wanted to make a sale, they would care. On the flip side though, how were they to know that you might me in over your head and have terrible credit and bad debt/equit ratio and what not.

As far as Agricredit goes, yea, they can only go off of what they are given. It could be an electronic glitch somewhere? But when a dealer is submitting the info, and this is a business they work with regularly, if they though the loan was for TOO much money, you would have though it would have thrown a red flag. I understand you wouldnt want then disclosing info to the dealer if you were denied for bad credit or whatnot. But denied just based on price vs what they feel the tractor is worth...give me a break.

On another note, if you aint happy with that L3800, I dont think you would have been happy with a CK27. The CK27 loader wont lift more than the L3800. They are equal. And IMO, price aside, the 3800 is a better machine. Now I dont want to turn this into a kioti-kubota debate. But in one hand, you have the CK27, loaded with features. In the other, you get the 3800, minus alot of features, near equal specs, but 11 more HP. To me HP is more important than features for what I do. But its all in what is important to each person. There is no comparison if you get the DK40. MUCH more tractor and a very nice machine. IF that loader dont do it for you, you'd better get a forklift:laughing:

A lot of the missing features are what I miss with the Kubota, but the specs on the loader may be equal on paper, but they aren't. The hydraulic pumps are bigger on the Kioti. The Kubota will only lift the front of the tractor off the ground maybe a few inches, but the Kioti is like a foot or something. After driving both I can tell the difference. However, if I can swing trading it in and getting a DK40 I may. I'm not 100% sure what I want to do at this point. I'll talk to the dealer when he gets back from out of town and go from there. They may not even have another DK40 HST in the warehouse left and I don't want a gear drive after driving the HST.

What has happened to customer service? Employees make $10-$12 bucks an hour and don,t care.If they lose that job they can they just go get another one making the same wage.Pride and doing a good job is going down the drain in the USA with some folks.
Another thing is seemingly dead end jobs. As people don't retire or change jobs as often more and more employees are finding whatever they do in "customer service" rarely gets rewarded with promotions and raises.

This is still a knee jerk reaction to the '08 downturn and the bundling of good with bad loans. In '06 and '07 just about every person working minimum wage could buy a home w/ $0 down and dream of flipping it in a year for 12% profit. When we went to get a loan for the last 70 acres we bought the Farm Bureau was skeptical at first. We were not worried because we could pay cash, but with near record low rates it made more sense.
I also learned early to walk into a dealers looking "middle income" or lower. Don't drive the brand new car, drive the beater, act as every $ hurts.

Yes you bought the Kubota on the rebound, but it may not be all bad (writes the owner of 2 Kubotas ): ).
Did the Agri Credit supervisor indicate that this mistake would go on her permanent record? Did he even really care?
Did he offer to give you a reduced rate on your next attempt?
Lots of posters here are saying Kioti dealer should give you favors, to me it seems you should try getting "blood" from the credit company.

Kubota is known for delivering tractors with their hydraulics running at the low end of the spec. Most of them can be "shimmed" or tuned up fairly easily. Kioti may be the same.

Cletus:

As I mentioned consider the DK40HST if you can swing the deal. Now Doerun is not that far from me (Morriston,Fl).

Drive on down anytime and play on my DK40. You will love it.

Not looking to break the bank but as I mentioned in my prior post you only live once, as far as i know. If you really have (had) your heart set on the Kioti do it!

Seriously, if your up for a drive come play on my Kioti however I insist you return her at the end of the day.
