Yanmar YM2500
Hey ya'll,

What size box blade (4' or 5') and disk (4' or 5') do I need to purchase for my YM2500? I am fixing to buy these 2 pieces of equipment.

I am almost certain it will handle a 5' disk, but not sure about a 5' box. Anyone have these 2 items for their YM2500?

Also, what are some good brands for the money, that will last a long time (if that makes sense)?

I am not sure if I want a set of disks that has sealed or greasable bearings. It won't be used but about a total of 3-5 hours MAX a year.

Thanks,
Travis

How wide is your tractor? I think the one that would cover your tracks would be my first choice. Anybody near you that has one you could borrow to try to see if it would work? Good luck with your purchase.

I'm not sure how wide my rear tires are. I'll hae to measure and let you know. Come to think of it, I do have a buddy of mine that has a 5' disk. I'll have to hook it up and see.

Thanks,
Travis

Don't know how much this will help but here goes. Had a 6' box blade on my Yanmar last week and it wasn't a strain on it. This was a driveway and hadn't have any equip on it in yrs, soil/gravel was packed. Did both digging and leveling with it. Have never used a disk.

Good evening Travis R ; I have a 5' box blade (heavy duty) and I pull a 51/2' heavy duty disc with my 2500. I checked my paper work this morning when I got home from work but I had a brain cramp coming to work tonight and forgot what brand disc it was. I also have a 5' bush hog squeller . I bought the heavy duty disc for the weight. Sometimes it puts a strain on the motor but all in all I wouldn't swap it for anything smaller. If I go up next week I will check all the equipment and get back to you. I only have a 90# weight on the front of my tractor, I probally need more than that though. I am pretty sure that my tire width is 62". The disc covers up my tracks well.
