A bush hog.

When I bought my 10 acres, it had brush and briars, and needed bush hogging. So I did the "logical" thing and bought a bush hog. After 2 mowings, it magically needed a finish mower from that time on. In hindsight, I should have hired someone to bush hog it, then bought myself a RFM.

Now I find myself using a bush hog as a finish mower. It works, but not nearly as well as an RFM.

Same here....10 acres that needed a bush hog. Now I just use the finish mower since it's 6' as opposed to the 5' bush hog and it does a better job. The only time I use the bush hog is when the finish mower is broken :(

A 5' King Kutter finish mower. Not that there is something wrong with it but it is a little big for my 4010 tractor to drag up and down my hilly yard. I finally broke down and got a Hustler Super Z mower after only using the finish mower two or three times. Anybody around here want to buy one? I need to sell it or otherwise it is just going to sit outside and rust since the Hustler is taking up the space in the garage now.

Oh come on now. People use brush cutters as "finish mowers" all the time. Plus they're more MANLY than a finish mower.:D You can use a brush cutter as a finish mower but you can't use a finish mower as a brush cutter. Do you want to live on a 10acre golf course or something.;)

Hmmmm....golf course or field with weeds, holes, rocks..... Boy that's a tough choice. Think I'll go get my 3 iron out and check... :)

Bought mine on Friday and returned it on Monday. NOW that was worthless!

Returned the LP one I bought too. I'm just a 5'6" guy and couldn't even see the bottom two hooks to get them lined up with the implement with the top part of the QH frame in the way. Forget about the fact that not everything fit the top link.

Bought a Pat's instead - best money I've EVER spent!

My least used attachment is a post pounder that fits the skid steer, works good but its lined up by the driver, then you have to getout sort of twist around the thing, using the levers raise the hammer, open the grabbers and insert a post, clamp the post and away you go, side to side is adjusted from outside and tilt you have to get back into the cab, when it drives good 4 hits will set a 5 inch fence post easily 3 feet in ground but takes a wile to get use to. Next the post hole digger, it fits the loader, works good, finished the fence with it after parking the pounder, it drilled many holes around 80 acres but now sits. One use I found for it I made a fork end, I have many ground screws and use them to tie down the aircraft, windmill coverall, it will screw in the augers in the ground no effort and being hydraulic will remove them.
