They don't have anything over 8 tons listed on the website but they will build you just about anything. I have seen some of their larger capacity trailers running around our area.

Yep. block the back or chain the front so it can only tilt a couple of inches, back up until the front truck tires are on the deck, remove the restraint and back off.

OK, but it sounded to me that as soon as the rear truck tires rolled off onto the ground the trailer would start to tilt back to level and whack something on the truck. Seems maybe you would have to block the FRONT, not the back, before backing off onto the ground. Could be a little hairy for a one person operation if you try to exit the truck while on the tilted bed.

Torsion axles are great for single axles. But for double axles you want leaf springs.

If you you over a bump with torsion axles, all the weight can end up on 1 axle & overload it. Leaf springs will self level enough to mostly distribute the load.

Correct. I can't tell you how many trailers I have seen with torsion axles with tire blowing issues.

Last one I delta with had dual 6K axles but the guy keep blowing the rear tires. We weighed it and found out his total lad was 11K but about 8,200 was on the rear. Ended up cutting off the 2 torsion axles and replaced it with 3 5,200# units.

Cam will build you what you want but they're at a 15 week lead time right now. When I ordered mine they said 10 weeks and now that's at 14 weeks.
