Hi Rob.

Well went to the Kubota dealer today ordered the gaskets, and was talking to the guy and he showed me a pump from another Kubota and showed me where the springs were and to see if the things were moving inside of pump on side plate, when I moce control lever well it was not really so cleaned it and oiled it took off the control lever and pushed spring back all the way and as the engine turns over now I get all 3 outlets on the pump diesel fuel spurtting out in sequences as it should i think, but it is not spurtting out but maybe 1 inch? I thought this was to have 2000 psi comming out but it dosen't here so I dont know if it would even push it up the pipes to the injectors, I don't know if this is how it should be when I get the new gaskets I will put it back on. But do you think I should only have this small ammount of 1 inch comming out of the top of the injector pump to the 3 lines that go to the injectors?I haven't put the pipes back on the injector pump to the injectors as of yet. I was assumeing that there can be no air in the injector pump I don't know if the missing gasket would do anything here or not? It is not the gasket on the pump it self it is the gasket on the control lever when I took off the lever and cover to replace gasket I can see the gears of the pump I thinl that is what they are? And there is no oil on them that I can see should there be oil on these gears? I guess I should check the oil level in crankcase first, haven't done that.Well if you can think of anything let me know, And I don't guess you will be in Bradenton Fl. anytime soon to help me (haha)

We'll I'm in Lake Charles today at our refinery, so about 170 miles closer. I'll be in Destin in early June...close enough? :)

If you are getting fuel out now then you are close. The injection is capable of producing 2000 psi. Put your finger over the opening like a garden hose and turn it over, it'll spray it across the room. The injectors "pop" at about 2000psi. Actually the pump can do much more than that.

I think you are ready to run!

Good Luck,

Please don't put your finger over the end. Liquid under that kind of pressure will cut like a knife. Diesel injected into the body is not a good thing. I hope I miss-understood something here.

Very true. Keep your fingers clear and you should also be wearing saftey glass's. We don't want to see you making a trip to the hospitol because you have blood poisoning from injecting yourself with diesel fuel.

Its not under that kind of pressure in an open pipe like he has. Itll squirt out past his finger when it reaches a few 10s of psi.

Since you may have found the problem in the springs in pump; I would disassemble the pump and clean all gunk out to be sure.

Well I tried again today to start it, put a little diesel in intake hole only to one cylender and it did try to start then I sprayed very little starter fluid I know not to do that but it did start just for a second. but with the diesel I am getting it to the injectors now as I cracked the pipe to each injector and there is fuel there and seems like a lot of air bubbles dont know how to get rid of them? Like I said before the diesel comming out of the injector pump in about 1 inch not much pressure here I dont know if the 2000 psi is out of the injector and not the pump? But the fuel is up to injector. I figured out why I didn't have fuel comming out of the tank only had about half quart in tank and was not over top of pet cock I know dummy. But got it out and none going in filter found out the inlet tube on filter was packed with dirt got that cleaned out and got fuel to where it is meant to be finally, but still not running , maybe soon I hope. Yes Destin is not to far away from me haha come on down and visit(not to mention help me get this thing running) But thanks for all the replys it is helping me that is for sure.

I would snug everything back up and start your bleed over. Only bleed one point at a time from the filter to the last injector as any more than one open will draw air in.You dont have to bleed much just a few turns of the engine at each point.Good luck

Does the injector pump have a bleeder? If it does, open bleeeder and crank engine; put a battery charger on battery now and leave it on as you do this. If engine starts, leave bleeder open till bubbles disappear. If no start; move to one injector line at a time; crack each line and crank engine till you get fuel. Do each injector, one at a time.
Does sound like you have a dirty fuel system. You may want to pull tank and clean. Change fuel filter after a few hours of running. Dirt will cause you many problems if left unattended.

PS; Quit useing starting fluid;m you could cause major damage.

Agree, actualy I said... "Put your finger over the opening like a garden hose and turn it over, it'll spray it across the room". Only a smaller opening, not blocking it off. But hey some guys talk like they have diesel in their blood!! :) Or want it.

Hi.
Yes I already took off tank and cleaned it, as it was setting year and half with dirty fuel in it and replaced all lines and new filter the guy I bought it from used a clear plastic automotive fuel filter, I got the right one and put it on.Am getting fuel to injectors but still not running? could the injectors be bad?can they be overhauled or have to buy new ones? I wont be back until monday to work on it so i any more info. to try let me know, I know we will get this started with you all helping me.
