If you're tempted to use solvents or alcohol, unplug the dryer and/or kill any pilots lights and shut off the gas first. Yikes.

Have you tried a Mr. Clean magic eraser? Crazy things remove just about anything from just about anything else.

I tried, but it only gets the finger prints off the touch screen.

But seriously, I worked at a newspaper for 30 years, so I've had a few experiences with ink in the wrong place.

Fortunately, I always had access to blanket wash. It's what they use to clean the blankets and rollers and anything else with ink on it on the presses. It's a solvent. Has some cautions on the label.

I would feel safer about trying to clean the dryer outside in a well ventilated area where the solvent could dissipate rather than a confined laundry room.

The old dry-cleaning fluid would get just about anything out--Grease, ink, glue, baby "stuff" and everything else. Not sure what they use now but I know it's not as strong. All the readily available strong solvents went away in the 80s. I still have about a case of some old AC system cleaner that's close to Carbon tetrachloride. It cleans everything too (And no longer sold).

If the cans haven't dissolved, you'd be welcome to a can. You'd have to be close because I don't think it can even be shipped now.

My Dad liked carbon tet. Said they used to use it by the bucketful at the lab.
