As a general rule, ticks need to have a blood meal and be own your body for 24 hours. That is why daily tick checks solve most problems. That combined with PPE (personal protective equipment)

Wear a nice sun hat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Save your skin from skin cancer!!!!!!!!!!! Ball caps don't work for men, since our ears get no protection.

Yep - I know Franklin. I'm familiar with most of SEWI as I did field work for 25 years for WEPCo and a lot of road rallies. We used to live 2 blocks north of St. Mary's Hosp on the east side. Liked the house, neighborhood, and neighbors. Hated the taxes and the MChange project clinched it. Bailed in mid 04.

Mchange has actually been easier than expected. Taxes only worse! My taxes dropped 1200 year when I let a local farmer farmthe land. So less pain than expected!!!!!!!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
