Nice looking gauge set and good price. I am going to get a temperature gauge like the oil pressure one I have and leave the charging light as is. I probably don't need the temp gauge but in the summer I would like to know if the radiator is getting plugged up before it gets hot enough for the light to come on. I will have to find an adapter for the block as I don't think the temp gauge comes with one. It might but I doubt it.

Are those 2" or 1 1/2"?

they are 52mm, close enough to 2". the oil sender and temp senders both came with adaptors.

I should have taken the time to look and see if they had a US version set of gauges. Could have gotten all 3 for the price I paid for the oil gauge.

At the time, I was concerned the pump was not priming after having the oil pan off for a few days waiting on the gasket to come in. But, I wanted to get the tractor back running and didn't want to wait. As soon as I get some final work done with it for the winter, I'll start on the sub frame back to the axles. I've got to rework the loader lines and hoses anyway and they are currently in the way of adding the sub frame.

While you are at it - can you measure that adapter and tell us the thread size where the temperature sensor goes into the block? I think that opening is 15mm, not British Standard like the oil pressure sensor. Thanks!

yEP THINGS like this you can usually get way cheaper on ebay. The chineese do wonders for the things you can get for the money. Yea it may not be here in 40 years but i just want a cheap gauge now for my tractor for 5 or 10 is fine with me. Im sure this is all our mentalities here on this board after all we would not be here solving others problems and sharing our ideas freely if we did not.

I always have a concern about the accuracy of measuring equipment be it electrical or mechanical. Is it really telling me what's actually going on? I have seen different gauges give different readings on the same line. Some as much as 20psi different.

There is a limit to what accuracy is worth dollar wise but the way I look at it is, if it's not telling me the real pressure, I might as well of had an idiot light.

Will do, report back shortly.

Yeah maybe true Gary. But a gauge whether it reads perfect temp is still better than idiot light. As long as its consistent you can see when your starting to have temp or pressure problems before its too late. Sometimes by the time light comes on its to late.
