Installed Toothbar

Wow just read your post about keeping your tractor clean and polished, glad Im not the only one who does that, of course this is my very first tractor, mine also lives in the garage (not heated) and the truck lives outside, and Ive had it about 3 weeks and have waxed it about two times and it only has 5 hrs. on it. And with fall coming and the grass not growing I dont see me getting to use it much, dont have any other toy to attach to it.

I cant seem to get on the Markham site--I did last week but not since then. Is there a phone number for them? I am on the West Coast--how is their shipping fo a toothbar? I did notice a toothbar on EBAY (72" for $339 7608652927) has anyone bought one of these? Thanks

Hi Rrengr: Markham's phone is toll free 888-453-6252. Their shipping was quite prompt and is a reasonable price.

After 70 hrs of use, the toothbar is still in great shape. It's hardened steel, extremely strong. But after digging & moving some large rocks, I got another small scratch in the red paint; so last night I touched up the tooth with Mahindra Red spraypaint.

Hi Wallace Tractor: Sure, I would enjoy seeing your facility and meeting you! Unfortunately, I'm way out in the state of WA. But I could sure put some waxin' on some of your hardware!

Several years back a friend of mine who owns a couple thousand acres north of Pasco, WA, hired me to run wheat combine for 3 weeks. It was too far to drive each day to reach his location, so I flew my Cessna each morning and landed on the rural road, parked, and went to work. I was operating a large JD 9600 with 30' header. I noticed the entire combine (green, of course) was getting dusty and dirty. So on the following off day (Sunday) I flew up there and brought my detailing supplies. It took me a full 11 hours of hard work, but I rubbed out the paint with polishing compound, then applied 2 coats of high quality wax.

To this very day, that wheat farmer tells of how that particular JD 9600 remained cleaner, shinier, and corrosion-free, much better than his other 9600's.

My airplane is kept waxed & beautiful, and also I have a 2005 Honda Insight that I display at weekend car shows. Still, my wife says I should move out to the shop/garage and sleep with the Mahindra......
