Installing a loader on an M7060

Dave M7040 is, as always, the senior advisor and knows what he is talking about. Presumably the M7060 has no power beyond loop (yet) until the loader valve is installed. If it is installed properly then Dave's big caution is taken care of. As I said in post #12 above, find someone who has done this job before even if you haul the tractor 100 miles each way to get it done.

There are two possible hydraulic situations on these M series. Kubota calls them Type1 and Type 2.

Type 2 tractors have the following label on the lower edge of the right door.

The Power Beyond loop I referred to in my previous post is this loop of metal tubing seen on the warning label.

Type 1 tractors have a rectangular metal block. To connect a loader valve into the circuit, the regualr plugs in the rectangular block have to be removed and replaced with special fittings. Think of these fittings like a power beyond sleeve fitted to a regualr hydraulic valve.

This is some awesome info. guys thanks a ton! It looks like it would be cost effective and I have a good Kubota dealer just 20 miles from the farm in Columbia, KY.

Thanks a lot for the warnings & info. on the hydraulic hookups too. I will certainly heed your warnings, and make sure I've got it all figured out before I start disconnecting and hooking up, and I'll find someone who's done it before. There's a good tractor mechanic that lives very near me who does side work. Probably worth paying him to do/supervise when time comes to install the hydraulics.

I'm not doing this immediately and downtime isn't an issue for me as I have another smaller Kioti ck35 with loader I can use, and I'm not a working farm. Was thinking I could put a loader on the Kubota then sell the little Kioti, but it sure is nice to have a little machine with R4's to pull the finish mower & 5' bush hog to keep about 3 acres trimmed up & mowed around the house. The Kubota has 16.9-30 ag tires on the back and it tears things up a little to much around the house.

Talked to my cousin tonight. He has a M8200 and has ordered a loader from Barlows for a little over $6000 if I heard him correctly. I dont know if its a Kubota or another brand.

I have a la1154 that came off my totalled 7060. 3rd function, standard cab valve and joystick, grill guard, all mounting hardware and hoses etc. All parts taken off by dealer along with a new quick attach assembly and put on a pallet. Tractor had 150hrs when totalled. It is sitting on my trailer currently.

That would be a nice loader! (It is what is on my M7040). I would also recommend that the joystick be a WR Long model if possible. They tend to have less issues!

I have a M9540 gear drive with a Stoll FEL on it.
Don't use the loader much because I use my L45 hydro for loader work.
Always looking for a used LA1353 Kubota FEL.
