Yes, all of Texas was in a drought last summer. We have had numerous large trees die from the drought. Lots of Texas is still in drought and needing rain.

Brandi, we must be related in our family trees somewhere. That's exactly what I used, a brick and a heavy nylon cord to pull the suction strainer from the far side of the pond. What was it that Yogi Berra said? "It's just like deja vu all over again." That's the way I was feeling as I read your post.

Maybe your both left handed batters? We lefties come up with some interesting solutions to living in a right handed world.

If Undie is a nickname you'd like to get out of, can I watch?

In the US Navy, the signalmen who handle the signal flags are called skivvie wavers because of the brightly colored flags they hoist up. It's a nickname they seem to like since many/most call themselves that.

In the past, I have been on my tractor with a swim top and daisy dukes, but never saw a guy on a tractor in a speedo. Somehow I just can't picture that either.

Sounds to me like "Undie" Jinman in a speedo on the old Yaller backhoe having a Dam trenching contest with "Lefty" Bindian in a daisy duke and swim top on the Big Red Beast. That could only happen in Texas :cool2: or with a whole lot of Photoshop work.
