Int 574

Does anyone know about starters for Int.574 D 239 Diesel? starter on it went bad,It has a11 tooth starter drive gear on it.
I am having a hard time finding a replacement. As most replacement starters have a 10 T gear.
Can I use a 10 tooth on it.

I had an IH2500b, the industrial version of the 574. Try Bates Corporation in Bourbon, Indiana. They are an IH salvage yard. Good folks. Maybe they can help you...

Do you have a good starter/generator rebuild shop in the vicinity..?? I always have mine rebuilt by a great local shop, that way I know what I have. Cost is about 1/2 of buying a rebuilt starter/gen elsewhere, and he guarantees his work for 1 year.
