reinstalled the pump again after checking for any visual problems and it still has no fuel coming out of #3 port on the pump. time to try to get a pro to look at it

Keep us posted on the final outcome. With the mess of the hurricanes down there, machines are in great need. Even compact tractor PTO power generators.

I'm an hour away from the Generac factory up in WI. Literally, they are working OT to keep up with the demand. I've seen literal convoys of semi's heading south on I-43 and I-90 full of all kinds of Generac gensets. Even the big ones on trailers using diesel engines.
I sent you a PM

re inspected & somebody hooked the tie rod from the Governor to a pivot post for a lever instead of the pin for the rock shaft. Im not saying any names !! fired it up, ran great, no more running wide open.. running on 2 cylinders. now no fuel coming out of the port of the pump for # 3 cylinder. pulled the pump again and getting ready to inspect # 3 port on the pump.
AWESOME. Good to hear the MT is running nicely now.

As for port-3, did you bleed the line and remove the trapped air?

yes, when I did not get any fuel for cyl # 3 I removed the lines at the pump, 1 & 2 pumping great, not a drip out of # 3 port of the pump. sent the pump out to the pumpguy, on this forum, and he said the pumps in the assembly are worn out,it is a 1984. parts are ordered and waiting on it. I guess it pays to run bout 1/2 qt transmission fluid to every 5 gallons of fuel to lube the pump since the sulfur in the diesel is no longer and the older Diesel pumps depend upon the sulfur for internal lube.

You did the right thing. @thepumpguysc would be my 1st course of action too. I know he has been so busy this summer and fall season. Glad you were able to get a hold of him.

For the fuel system lubrication, I use this. About 1/2 can every other tank fill up. MY machine is such a fuel sipper, it takes a long time before fillups.
