Here is a close up of my installer.

I used duct tape to attach a 1/2 pvc and 90 curved elbow to the back of my old king kutter subsoiler. When I started I had a flag attached at about the 6" deep mark. I visually used the flag to get a good depth and then set the adjustable tab on my three point control and was good to go. It was in need of a little duct tape repair by the time I was done, but it got the job done.

All of these ideas are great, but it would be nice to see pictures of your digger with the lay down attachment.

Very nice, I have a guest house out back and I would like to run cable and internet down there eventually. This seems like the perfect solution, a subsoiler is about $150 at TSC, and I can probably improve on your design by using Gorilla tape instead of duct tape.
