Good Lord willing, well the creeks did rise about 2 weeks ago, but I hope to have the Iron Hill Shed complete (mostly, minus electric and few other odd an ends) by the end of May. House sales are going BONKERS for me. Did a 29 day stint of 7/12s that caught up some bills, and if all goes as I hope, and plan I'll be driving a beautiful brown delivery van in the very near future on a seasonal basis (thru the summer). Taxes didn't kill us in 2009, and by golly I've only had one $1200 truck repair this year (yeah, after spending $6800 for a used 6.0 diesel engine with 50-60k miles to replace the one that GOT BLEW UP at a repair center with 153k miles, and driving it for 5 months the torqure converter was falling off since only one bolt remained, and the turbo charger was moving all over the place and then the air conditioner FELL OFF..ah.....) anyhow.

Hey Bowman,
I'm originally from Smithmills, in western Kentucky, just a little southwest of Henderson. What part of KY is your home in?
By the way, that is a nice rustic looking shed you are building.

Grayson in Carter County, north east corner. Love it up here. This where I've lived (Greenup/Boyd county areas) my whole life. Been in Carter County for the past 18 months or so. We're getting there.

By golly, the roof is almost done! I need just one end piece to be fully covered. BTW, it's red, that's dust/dirt you see discoloring the paint. Also, my high dollar help....

More junked up than filled up! Toys that are no longer in use. Saw horses acting as a table full of lumber, cords, coolers....etc. Got a good start on a workbench in an 8x8 corner workshop area, a place for handtools, etc.

Oh, we'll be building onto the shed ASAP! We've kinda got some plans in the works for another 8X16 section for stalls for critters.

Well, it's taken time...The Iron Hill Shed now has a completed roof!! I have some old guttering I'm goona put on the front, at least where the entrance, to keep myself a bit dryer.

I hope to trim out the rest of the front this week and next week as time allows (busy summer with bluegrass, real estate and working seasonal as a driver for UPS in hopes that leads to a permanent job with insurance...another story for another place).

I have started on the workbench... the summer also had my studio moved from my old home to Iron Hill, so that's a work in progress too, puttin' and wiring it all back together and that wiring leads to the Iron Hill Shed Project wiring too. I hope to have the meter base and mast pipe put up in the next few days too...I DEARLY need the power, those 125' extention cords ain't too nifty for power tools..... I have used the generator a few days but it's needing a tune up or something since it's started sputtering..oh...another post for another day...

But the tractor is dry on the rainy days now!!!

It's been a while, a long time coming but it's nearly complete! Working slowly on wiring but it's not a major thing but coming... I see a buzz box in my future. Looking around for an exterior door to hang on the tool room for added security and looks.

Here are the most recent pics when it was all cleaned out to gravel. The day after I took the pics I graveled an area about 5' wide outside the shed the entire length.

Oh, started yet another job a couple months ago too for a construction company and it's AWESOME. So, I work contruction, at a gun store, a Realtor and host two bluegrass radio shows.... whewwwwwwwwww.

Hey I like the rustic design, looks great. I think you will want a slab eventually if your going to be welding. It makes it much easier to roll stuff around and lay out things.

For sure on the slab. I'm gonna get a buzz box and learn to weld...and that'll help get me a pay increase in construction.
