Is IT a ZerT Or a ZerK?

Just a little trivia here. Who calls 'em grease zerks and who calls them grease zerts? And why?

I asked a similar question on TBN about the same topic, only mine was regarding Political Correctness as I'd only ever referred to them as a Grease Nipple. This was the only place that I'd heard the term 'zerk'.

Quite often a ball point pen is called a 'biro'... in reference to the inventors name.

I'm sure Wagtail can leave us all in the dust with his slang.

If he'd come visit I'd take him a ride in my old Jeep. We'd even peel out on the highway.

Yeah, I know. Same here. Seeing as the majority of TBN members are from the USA, it's somewhat of a colloquialism. (Pssst... don't get them started on what a biscuit is, they think it's a "cookie"; not a scone. :laughing

Zerk. People who call them zerts or even certs are just ignorant. Note ignorant means "lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about something in particular." I didn't say they were dumb or stupid they just don't know any better.
