Good news today, I received my grappler today and as everyone has said, it is very well built. I look forward to using it and I am glad Markham is in business and building strong equipment. Markham just needs to keep on top of their communications with their customers to negate miscommunications.

My final input to this thread is, I don't think you can buy a better built grappler at the costs that Markham sells them for. I looked at several and made many calls, I did my home work. They make excellent products, I and a few others fell through the communication cracks and had concerns. I am hopeful that as their business grows with the fine products they make, their communications will continue to improve. Thanks to forums like this one and others, we are allowed to search for answers and support. Everyone benefits with both negative and positive input as long as we stick to the facts and not get blinded by emotion. Again thanks to all those who added their input and Thanks to Markham for making such a fine product. NOW GO OUT AND DIG UP YOUR YARD :p

Emotion aside, it not a grappler.

At the risk of sticking my neck out, I found the title of the thread to be exactly my thoughts when I didn't get any response to calls and e-mails so I appreciated someone asking the same question I had so we could all get a definitive answer. I recall another grapple maker that went out of business being discussed here a few months back, so naturally that thought came to my mind when I didn't get a communication back from Markham.

They had a death in the family. It is my impression that they are extremely busy normally. I suspect that that current circumstances has pushed them into a chaotic state.

Despite that, they did get my special order right and the quality of my grapple is excellent.

I too had a very long wait from the time I ordered until delivery. In addtition, I too tried MANY times to make contact. A few times I did and no call back or email response. I finally got my toothbar and it is well made. I have used it hard now for 12 hrs with no complaints on quality. I was very irritated by the response time but am very satisfied with the final product. For those of you still waiting I feel your pain and for those of you with Markham products I feel your pride.

All I can say is read the title of the thread and then tell me with a straight face that this isn't the stuff of starting harmful rumors about a company not allowed to defend itself. I am actually disappointed in TBN that this thread was allowed to continue this long with that inappropriate and damaging title. And yeah... I'm on the payroll my friend. I'm making a fortune too except for the 600 mile daily commute.

If you are on the payroll maybe you should spend time responding to customers instead of sandbagging this thread...just a thought. People are frustrated for good reason. This said, it is a good product. For many it is not worth the frustration.

haven't had a reason to contact markham in 6 yrs. but my tooth bar has been on my L3130GST's 723 loader bucket 98% of the time--for me it is the best mod on the tractor; incl. foam filled tires and woods 7500 backhoe--and that's sayin sumptin-jmho

Sounds like Markham's is suffering from some growing pains and Melissa is likely swamped; which given the current economy having a business growing quickly is not a bad thing at all.

What's a Markham 6 ft toothbar running now? I'm going to be in the market for one this summer, lots of digging to do.

Let me be 100% clear for those with IQs below hat size that I am not on Markham's payroll. It would be kind of hard from 600 miles away. I was only defending a person (Melissa) and a fine company that is not allowed to defend itself in this venue. Yes, Markham is still very much in business. End of rumor (hopefully) and end of story.
