I was a die hard Rush fan from their first album all the way up to their Signals album. I liked several songs on it but from that album onward I have not liked a single song of theirs. I'm not critical of them. They've had great success with the second half of their career and brought in lots of new young fans. I wish they had stayed with their more traditional sound (but even that changed album to album) but if they had they might have stagnated . Who knows. Still one of my favorite bands and still listen to them all the time..
I have all of them but favorites are the albums from Permanent Waves through Hold Your Fire. I can't decide my top Rush album, but it's either Power Windows or Moving Pictures.
And to get in on the bass action, my first bass was a 2/3 scale no-name brand, then a Squire, then an Epiphone. I was poor; what can I say? Have had some good basses in between then and now and have played a 6 string Tobias which I really liked, but didn't want to pay for, so I currently have 2 Ibanez basses. One a Soundgear 404 with passive pick-ups but active EQ (sounds really good) and my newest is a Soundgear 505 which also sounds really good. I tend to like Rock and have short fat fingers, so the Ibanez necks are the most playable to me move fast and freely on. I love a Fender Jazz, but just can't play it as well.
