They are a South Korean company. If there is a choice, I tend to do business with companies headquartered in the U.S.

I was looking over stock articles today and seen this Judge: Sanction for Samsung's leak of Apple secrets is public shaming - Apple 2.0 -Fortune Tech just wanted to see what thoughts you guys have on this.

I agree with you I have one employee that has a Samsung Note 2. (I let him choose his phone) That will be the last Samsung product I buy. I try to buy from companies headquartered in the US as well but even more so I try not to support companies with such a shady way of doing business.

There may be and there may be not a company based out of the US that makes TV's. You can still choose not to do business with a company that has not morals or ethics. I'm not in the market for a TV right now but I know samsung won't be a consideration when I'm ready to buy another one. BTW I have bought Vizio in the past they have been great TV's but if when researching for my next TV I find information such as listed above about them I would mark them off the list as well. I used to listen to Clark Howard a lot and he always said the most powerful thing a consumer can do is vote with their wallet. I don't agree with how samsung does business so I will not help them stay in business.

I guess the answer to your question is if I have an option I buy US based. (If I agree with how the company is ran and I like the product I guess I should add) Sometimes sadly there isn't an option.

I've spent some time in S. Korea, I can assure you they are your friends, and they are thankful YOU saved their butt. HS
