Is everyone too lazy/dumb to spell stuff out anymore or is it just the "in" thing for the kids?:D

i think its cause us gen x'rs and younger did not have correct spelling beat n2 our mellons like the older generations, we may know what we are talking about just afraid some one is going to jump us because we didnt spell something right. has more to do with priorites than anything
on another note, my kids teachers are saying that in the next 5-10 years they will not be teaching curtsive wrighting anymore, god knows i can wright that way. 7 years of drafting killed that right away

I''ve heard my wife say about the same thing. She hates abbreviations and acronyms.

Every company and every segment of our society seems to have their own private acronyms. Remember how the Cockney language was used to befuddle the outsiders? Well that trend continues today.

When I worked for Honeywell I generated a 4 page document called the ALOHAHA, or A List Of Honeywell Acronyms and Honeywell Abbreviations.

Many were tongue in cheek. but surprisingly it did prove quite useful.

This forum could use such a list.
